Year 12 Major Projects

My Year 12's finished their year long HSC Multimedia Major Projects a few weeks ago with outstanding results. Most of the students planned, designed and created their own personal brand or explored an idea which showcased their multiple skills in creative digital media using mostly Adobe Software.

Most of the students projects consist of creating a logo to brand their projects. A main component that usually takes the form of video or graphic design depending on the students interests. A website created in Adobe Muse to present and promote their idea or brand, and a physical item which could be a design for a t-shirt in which they get printed or it might be a movie prop that they have created and used in their project.

Please take the time to have a look at some of the student work below:

The video "Analog Studios" is a project walkthrough video in which the student showcases his project as a whole.

The following two images are photographs of the main component created as part of the "Analog Studios" project which is a vinyl album cover. The idea behind the project was the re-branding of the band "Arctic Monkeys". The project has been nominated for InTech.

The video "Lockdown" was the main component of this student's project. The project has also been nominated for InTech

The images above show some of the other components of the "Lockdown" project. The first two are the props the student created which appear in his short film. The business cards were created to help market the students hypothetical business, "Dreadnought Studios".

The video above titled "Medias for the Mind" formed part of a students project where they explored the idea of the effects that advertising has on consumers in society.

The image of the t-shirt was created to form part of the students marketing and branding of his project.

This next video titled "Clique" served as an advertisement for the students clothing brand that he created for his Major Project. The

t-shirts he designed appear in the video.

This student explored the idea of equality for women. The video titled "Aqualis" which translates to "equal" formed a part of her Major Project.

I wish I had the time to show examples of all of the Year 12 Major Projects but time is of the essence at the moment. Good luck to all of my departing Year 12 Multimedia students and I wish you all the best in your future undertakings. And I am sorry that you had to put up with me bossing you around for the last 2-3 years :) but it certainly was fun!

Lastly, I must give credit to Kelly Bauer as I have been following and adapting the Parramatta Marist Brothers School Multimedia Model into my own teaching.
